Saturday April 4th (Deep Ellum): DIY Macrame Wall Hanging/Jewelry Holder
Learn beginner macrame techniques to create a cute natural cotton wall hanging with Tyler Marco, owner of Cozy Boho Designs. Participants will learn how to tie a lark heads knot, square knot and create fringe. The finished product can be used for a bohemian style decoration in your home, given as a gift or even used for jewelry organization!
Tyler has always been a creative, whether it was through singing, playing an instrument, dancing or crafting. She had pursued music most of her life, but it wasn’t until she turned 29 that she realized it wasn’t fulfilling her in the way she had hoped. From there she became more interested in crafting with a curiosity for textile crafting like macrame, knitting and weaving. After taking a few classes, she found this was an art she excelled at and thoroughly enjoyed.
With macrame being the forefront of her business, Tyler uses the knowledge she possesses of specific knots to create all kinds of various pieces. Her hope is to curate community, help others learn how to tap into their own creativity, and inspire all to shop consciously.
