Yesterday, The Dallas Morning News published an article on the way I live with flea market finds at home.

I thought y'all might enjoy seeing some of my favorite pieces up close and personal. Many items hail from Flea Style shows past while others were uncovered while traveling or combing local flea markets.

I happened to visit two of my favorite flea market states for personal matters this month. In early August, I spent two weeks in California with family and friends after the Summit dust settled. Last weekend, I flew to New York City for 48 hours for one of my best friend's engagement parties.

But I wanted to break away for a sec and share a little something with you: Glitter Guide featured a tour of my 1930s casa today! In the story, you'll see tons of pictures of my Spanish-style space and all the treasures I’ve stuffed it with. I also share the story of starting Flea Style and why I think it’s so important to support small artisans. You can read the whole story below.

Hellooo! I'm back! After working the store floor here and there over the past few weeks to meet our customers, I've received so much feedback. One of the biggest topics was in regards to our weekly Shop Talk series that we published while under construction and installing the store and studio. Over and over again I learned how much y'all enjoyed riding along on our crazy journey -- and that you missed these candid posts that offer some behind the scenes scoop on some of what goes down daily at Flea Style.

I will actually be in the store all day working. For the past ten days, my kids have been with my parents in Southern California soaking up the cool breeze and ocean views (yes, I'm quite jealous). Since I'm joining them later this week for a short vacay, I'm working around the clock while they're away. It's amazing how productive I am without two littles in the house! That said, I MISS THEM LIKE MAD and can't wait for sticky kisses, messy faces and Disney movie snuggles again soon.

The past two and a half weeks have been blissful at times, and totally stressful at others. Although I guess that's kind of the norm for a small business owner, right? Two Tuesdays ago, I left for California to visit with family so the days leading up to then were jam-packed with to do's (hence, why I haven't blogged in a couple weeks -- sorry!). Of course when it rains it pours and we were also putting final touches on our new Market at The Star application during the time so I was going 100 miles a minute trying to finalize things before putting on my mom hat for a week.

Dallas-based small-business owner Brittany Cobb is a rare find. A journalist by trade, she first cut her teeth as a lifestyle reporter and editor, working for publications like The Dallas Morning News, DailyCandy, Forbes, and Lucky magazine. In 2009, Brittany decided to cultivate her passion for flea market finds and curated a variety of vendors for a one-time holiday shopping event in Dallas. The show became a local success, and after six consecutive years of growth, she turned her knack for curating vintage and artisanal products into a full-time profession, expanding the coveted concept to additional cities across the U.S.
